Get ready to raid your kitchen for art supplies.

At this Tie and Dye workshop with @huecoast you’ll be extracting colours from ingredients like turmeric, avocado, onion skins etc. and learning tips and techniques to create patterns on fabric. You will also learn how to preserve your fabrics & colors!

Our artist Shivani will demonstrate three tying techniques & dye them using tea (brown), turmeric (yellow) & avocado (peach). If you don't have avocado then you can try onion skins instead in your 3rd technique.

So get ready to create beautiful patterns on your fabrics, be it an old shirt or a stole or dupatta, we will color everything!

Materials required :

For tying:

100% cotton piece of cloth/ T-shirt/ Dupatta

Rubber bands

Thread

2 Popsicles/Twigs/scales/ any 2 things that are in size and shape

Pair of scissors

For dyeing:

Gloves (optional)

2-3 Cooking bowl (in which your cloth can move easily)

Cooking spoon

Gas connection and stove/induction gas
