This intricate and colourful art form from Bihar is about 800 years old. Laden in rich traditional history, this folk art has taken its name from Tikuli which means ‘bindi’ – a symbol of wisdom and modesty. Originated in Patna, this beautifully painted art form flourished through the streets of the city as it caught the eyes of many merchants and traders who flocked to buy Tikuli art in bulk.

Till date, this artwork is special and unique to Bihar. The detailed designs of Tikuli are an evidence of great artistry behind it.

This is a two-day session conducted on zoom for one and a half hour each day.

It is a live session and no recordings will be provided.

The workshop will be conducted in Hindi.

Date: 24th & 25th September, 2020 on Zoom (one and a half hour session per day)

Time: 11:00 am – 12:30 pm

It might exceed by 15 mins since we will be teaching the details.

Fees: ₹1200/-

The artwork may or may not finish during the session. We shall start and finish as much as possible and send you a complete image of what is taught during the session.
