About the bands:

Zygnema

Zygnema, formed in 2008, is India’s leading heavy/groove metal band. They have received multiple Rolling Stone Metal Awards in 2011 and 2016. With two full-length albums, three singles, and a recent EP titled 'Iconic' (March 2024), their music features powerful riffs and aggressive rhythms.

Zygnema has played at international festivals like Wacken Open Air (2012) and Inferno Metal Fest (2013) and completed a 16-city European tour in 2019. In India, they've headlined major festivals alongside bands like Megadeth, Fear Factory, and Opeth. Their influence and acclaim make them a significant force in the metal scene.

RAID

Hyderabad’s metallic hardcore band R.A.I.D. (Rueban And the Imperium Division), founded by vocalist Rueban Issac in June 2016, features David Samuel on guitars, Amit Cornelius on bass, and Bobbin Jaydev on drums. Influenced by hardcore legends like Hatebreed and modern bands like Kublai Khan, R.A.I.D. emphasizes Positive Mental Attitude (PMA) in their lyrics. They have released three albums—The Strong Survive (2018), Imperium (2019), and Defiance (2022)—and an EP, Dominion (2024). Their music has received positive reviews from Metal Hammer, Rolling Stone, Decibel, and more, aiming to inject fresh energy into the hardcore scene.

Chronic Xorn

Chronic Xorn is a five-piece metal band from Kolkata, India, formed in 2007. They gained recognition in 2009 with a feature in Headbanger’s India and became the first English metal band from eastern India to gain international acclaim. Signed by Six Inch Nails Records, they released their debut EP, Death Destruction Sermon, followed by the successful album From Mercy (2012) and the EP For These Sins Who Must Die (2017). Known for supporting international acts like Lamb Of God and Children of Bodom, they have toured extensively across India, Bangladesh, and Bhutan.

The band, endorsed by ESP Guitars and Sabian Cymbals, includes Saptadip Chakrabarty (vocals), Suvam Moitra (guitars/vocals), Biswarup Bardhan (guitars), Kanad Roy (bass), and Mamik Banerjee (drums). A highlight of their career is the guest guitar solo by Travis Montgomery of Threat Signal on the title track of From Mercy. Chronic Xorn is currently working on their upcoming album titled I Create I Destroy.

As Oceans Flatline:

A five-piece metalcore band based out of Bangalore (India). Formed in 2019 the band is highly passionate about the metalcore genre and inspired by the likes of Killswitch Engage, Parkway Drive, As I Lay Dying. As Oceans Flatline blends the sound of early 2000s metalcore with modern metal.
