Join us as we visit the Pangsau Pass Winter Festival. A festival that brings together the tribes of Arunachal Pradesh and Burma in a cultural celebration of food, dance, art, craft and more.

All this is happening at a day's drive from Miao -- a small town on the banks of Noa-Dehing River. This town in the Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh is home to one of the three main hills of Patkai Bum. Patkai hills are situated on India`s north-eastern border with Burma. A peaceful township, Miao has its own unique charm. From Namdapha National Park to museums, churches, monasteries and gorgeous lake side trials. Miao promises something magnificent to each of its visitor.

Along side, Miao also offers short drives to historic sites such as Lake of No Return, Stillwell Road, Burma, Namsai, amongst others.

Miao also has rich cultural bent, and the people are known for their textile art and weaving. .And, if food is your thing, then you sure are in for a treat. It’s known for its local mix of non-vegetarian and vegetarian spread. Made with some unique flavours, the people of Miao say ‘Try it, to know the difference.’

Q. What is this? What are we going to do and visit?

We will explore a small town in Arunachal Pradesh called Miao, and drive through the famous Stillwell Road to get on to Pangsau Pass in Myanmar (Burma). During our 6 Nights and 7 Days stay, we will explore history through World War II sites, Tibetan Refugee Camps, Churches and Monasteries. We will indulge in the natural beauty of Miao, Namdapha National Park and beautiful lakes that define this small town. That’s not all. We will learn the art of weaving and local cooking in the tribal villages.

It’s Rs 28,500 per person for 6 nights and 7 days.

Please note, the above cost includes:

• Home stay for the entire duration of the trip. Accommodation will be on twin sharing basis

• 3 main meals – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner – for the entire duration of the trip

• Local Permits

• Treks, heritage walks and entry fees

• Local transportation for visits and drives, including to Burma using Jeep or a similar vehicle

• Airport pick-up and drop, and other transfers

Note: The cost excludes:

• Anything that’s not mentioned in above ‘Cost Includes’ section

• Personal expense for shopping and meals, which are not included

• Camera fees, wherever required

• Excess meals or stays due to bad weather condition

• Travel cost from home destination to Dibrugrah

Q. How do we travel?

We will drive from Dibrugah to Miao. You can reach Dibrugrah by flight or train. We leave the initial travel (that’s till Dibrugrah) to traveller’s discretion. But, from Dibrugrah to Miao and back, we will take care of all the arrangements.

Here are details about our cancellation policy:

a. Any cancellations done within 7 days of the date of the journey will not be refunded

b. Any cancellations done between 7-15 days will get a 20% refund

c. Cancellations done 15-30 days prior will get a 50% refundd. Cancellations done more than 30 days prior to the journey and more will get a 75% refund

Travel doesn’t categorise people. And, neither do we.
