What to expect:
Unburn with unburn.co at the end of your week with a guided strawberry full moon meditation.
A spectacular Strawberry full moon will light up the sky on Friday 5th June 2020 — and you certainly don't want to miss it. The actual moment of the full moon phase will happen later in the night, but we will gather and meditate together at 7:30 pm IST / 10 am EST on 5th of June.
A full moon night is a special event in many ways for spiritual seekers and an opportunity to connect with one’s sub-conscious mind.
The full moon is said to heighten the activity of the mind, amplifying conscious thoughts as well as pulling sub-conscious ones to the surface, or conscious mind. This can awaken one's spirituality, making it particularly beneficial to participate in a full moon meditation.
The full moon in June is called a Strawberry Moon because it coincides with the strawberry harvest. Less common nicknames for this month's full moon, based on old European naming traditions, are the Mead Moon, Honey Moon, and Rose Moon.
The full moon is also the best time to focus on what you would like to release from your energy. Making this a monthly practice is a great way to to stay in balance with your life.
This meditation and intention setting workshop is all about self care. We will together release what no longer serves our energy.
About the facilitator:
Dr Mel Batson, PhD in Neuroscience, Boston University has an extensive experience investigating the neuroscience of perception, perceptual learning, motor learning and the relationship between motor and cognitive learning. She is also a certified yoga teacher, conducting classes in Hatha yoga, pranayama, and meditation. Dr. Mel is also founder of Movement Ashram, an organization with the goal of helping people focus on their own inner ashram.
