Bengaluru favourite, Peepal Tree plays a beautiful and pleasing mix of funk, rock and folk music with a touch of electronica that is set to lyrics in multiple Indian languages. The band released its much-awaited album, ‘Chetana’ on October 2, 2018 to excellent reviews.

Amrit Rao & The Madrascals

Formed in 2017 and conceived by Amrit Rao, the six- piece Madras Rock outfit Amrit Rao & The Madrascals broke into the scene with its maiden live performance in January 2018. With strong, socially conscious and intriguing lyrics in Tamil, the Chennai band’s music is a wall of sound that is unique, quirky, powerful and distinctly its own; a local sound with a global flavour. Amrit Rao & The Madrascals released its subsequently acclaimed debut album, ‘Baemaani’ on October 2, 2018.
