Upercent, an artist who transforms his musical influences into a deep understanding of groove and sophisticated story-telling.

With his unorthodox use of classical instruments being mixed with analog sounds and heavy drum percussions, Upercent creates state-of-the-art club music with depth and vigour. His musical ambition leads him to constantly explore among the Jazz, Electronic and Techno sounds, generating atmospheres full of textures and colours.

From one of Europe's historical hotbeds for electronic music, Valencia (Spain), music have been a key part of his life as far back as he can remember.

Jose under the alias of Upercent never had his own musical style in particular, but melancholic musical elements have always been a magnet for him.

Everything changed in 1994 when he was 9 years old and his family presented him an electronical music CD produced in Valencia, since that moment his feelings for music changed. Influenced by the toughest music scene in the area, Upercent grew up listening to strong styles such as Detroit Techno, US Hardhouse and Dutch Hardcore. However, this did not cause him to lose contact with Jazz, Instrumentals, Blues, Reggae, Classical, Indie, Breaks and a huge diversity of styles that reached his ears.

His musical launch happened in 2013 and since then until today, he released his music with the most recognized underground labels such as Kompakt, Watergate, Diynamic, TAU, Culprit, microCastle or Sincopat to name a few.

His full creative productions led him to play in Germany, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Ukraine, Spain, Russia, Armenia, Lebanon, United Kingdom, India, USA, Switzerland, Denmark, Israel, Malta and Netherlands.

Upercent has played at Fusion Festival (Lärz), Electronica Festival (Istanbul), Watergate (Berlin), La Terrrazza (Barcelona), CHI by Decadence (Kiev), Heart (Ibiza), Sisyphos (Berlin), The Block (Tel Aviv), Nation of Gondwana ( Schönwalde-Glien) among others. He has shared booth with Agoria, Jimi Jules, Fur Coat, Red Axes, Trikk, Marcus Worgull, Chloé, Audiofly, Innellea, Marco Resmann, Hosh, Echonomist, Josh Wink, Oxia, Oliver Huntemann, Raxon and Nico Stojan among others artists.
