Tamil Thalaivas will look to break hat-trick heroes Patna Pirates in Chennai on matchday 1. Pardeep Narwal of the Pirates and Manjeet Chhillar of the Thalaivas will battle for dominance in the raiding department. After which, the Maharashtrian Derby between U Mumba and Puneri Paltan will be worth a sight.

Tamil Thalaivas: About the team
The team is out on a mission! In their debut season last year, they showed plenty of promise, especially with some high-quality performances courtesy raider Ajay Thakur. In Season VI, Tamil Thalaivas have added serious ammunition: Jasveer Singh and Manjeet Chillar will bring their experience and talent. Fans can look forward to an exciting season!
Patna Pirates: About the team
The most successful franchise in Pro Kabaddi history, Patna Pirates completed their hat-trick of titles last season with a thumping win over debutants Gujarat Fortunegiants in the final. Record-breaking performances by star raider Pardeep Narwal helped them clinch their third title. The team has been performing well since Pro Kabaddi Season 1 and has become almost unbeatable over the last three seasons. The Pirates’ explosive offence and a ruthless defence has helped them remain consistent throughout. With new additions and some farewells for Season VI, the team will look to make it four titles in a row.
Puneri Paltan: About the Team
Puneri Paltan’s story so far at Pro Kabaddi has been the most interesting one. The franchise finished at the bottom of the table in Season 1 and 2. The Paltan were almost erased from memory but the tables have turned since then. Pro Kabaddi Season 3 saw the Punekars grab 3rd place and Season 4 saw a repeat of that feat. VIVO Pro Kabaddi Season V had them reach the Eliminator but were beaten convincingly by Patna Pirates. For VIVO Pro Kabaddi Season VI, Puneri Paltan have brought together a young and aggressive squad that has the potential to take the tournament by storm. October 5th onwards, we will find out what end of the table the Paltan will end up in.
U Mumba: About the team
The most consistent team during the first three seasons, U Mumba took the tournament by storm by reaching the final three times in a row. The team did get its hands on the trophy in Season 2. And after finishing runners-up in Season 3, it looked like U Mumba would dominate the tournament for years to come. But the next two seasons saw a slump, with the team not going beyond the group stages.
Season VI is the dawn of a new era at U Mumba. With a reimagined squad which shows a brilliant mix of experience in defence and a young offensive line, the team also sees a new coaching staff taking reins. An eye on the glory days, the Mumboys will be hoping to set the stage alight with their performance during VIVO Pro Kabaddi Season VI.
