This year the virus has hit us more severely and the system is crumbling under the pressure of the increasing number of infections and the intensity of the infection.
Volunteer from home to help SAHYOG's triage centre setup in Bangalore with coordination including travel, food, inventory and other back-end operations
The 50-bed triage centre setup is in an indoor Badminton court allotted by BBMP. This facility is meant for patients with oxygen saturation levels more than 84 who would otherwise require hospitalization or if they are unable to arrange oxygen at home.
How can volunteers help?:
Volunteers will assist with remote coordination for the Covid-19 triage centre
- Rostering team
- Inventory management
- Travel management
- Food management
- Other back-end operations
Time commitment needed by the Volunteer:
Volunteers will need to commit 8-hours per day for minimum 5 days a week.
Things to keep in mind:
Volunteers must be:
- fluent in one of the three languages i.e. English, Hindi or Kannada
- have access to a stable mobile network and internet access
- well versed with Bangalore locations to aid in remote coordination
Please note: Once you sign up, the SAHYOG team will reach out to you to brief you on further details and share guidelines to help you navigate around the volunteering experience. A sensitization session will be conducted for the volunteers at the beginning of the activity.
