Wacx returns to bFLAT to launch their new 6-track debut EP titled ‘Scramble’. Wacx is a Hard Rock/Punk indie band from Chennai that loves to play high voltage, heavy, grinding and groovy music. One will hear a sound that is rooted in classic and punk rock and that combines the soundscapes of Led Zeppelin, Guns N’ Roses, Blink 182 and Alter Bridge to name a few. The audience can expect to hear influences from different eras of music, bringing a dynamic wall of sound and a live energetic act.

Wacx's band line-up reads like a Who's Who of the Chennai Music Scene - Jitesh James Dharmaraj, the senior most band member, is also featured on the Scramble EP cover. He is among the most popular musicians in and around Chennai. Jitesh plays the Bass Guitar for Wacx (+ Tails on Fire and RJD – The Band) and he was one of the founding members of Junkyard Groove. His bands have opened for some of the biggest names in the world like Iron Maiden, Scorpions, Robert Plant, Incubus and many more. Accompanying him is his brother, Ritesh John Dharmaraj on lead vocals, Brian Paiva on guitar and vocals, Vijay Krishnan on Lead guitars and Preetham Dev Moses on drums make up the rest of this talented power-packed band from Chennai.

In a short period of time this band has already become one of Chennai’s most popular and they've begun to tour multiple cities in the past year. One of the highlights of their musical journey has been performing at the Monkey Town Arts and Music Festival, Ooty, where they played alongside indie giants like Junkyard Groove, Thaikkudam Bridge and Jhanu.

OPENING SET: D’s Kitchen is one of Bangalore's upcoming indie rock bands. Formed in 2015, the band believes in creating an impact by relying on simplicity and emotive songwriting to form a unique, yet effective sound. Their sound can be generally classified as rock, though it has elements of indie, blues, grunge and other genres. The band’s musical influences are Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers etc.

D's Kitchen released its first album, Light Does Echo in January 2016 to positive reviews and a second full-length release, This Side Of The Border, in August 2017. Already visible on the immensely popular Kappa TV as part of their ‘Music Mojo’ program to promote the new album, the telecast will release on Youtube as well in the coming days. In the last few months the band has played at various venues in Bengaluru and toured Goa and Pondicherry to support the release.
