Faculty: Malvika Mehra
In a career spanning nearly 3 decades, Malvika has successfully partnered with clients in building famous brands across agencies like Ogilvy, Grey, Dentsu, and her independent venture Tomorrow Creative Lab.
The body and impact of her work have earned her a place among India’s ‘50 Most Influential People in Media, Marketing and Advertising’ (Economic Times - Brand Equity Agency Reckoner 2019) and the 'Top 20 Creative Directors in India’ in the past. She has featured twice in Impact's '50 Most Influential Women in Media, Marketing and Advertising' and was one of the first female Chief Creative Officers of an agency in India, in 2010.
Malvika has been a 3-time juror (across print, film, and design categories) at the world’s most prestigious festival for Creativity, Cannes. And has also served on other eminent global juries for advertising and design including Clio, Spikes Asia, Dubai Lynx, and Kyoorius (in association with One Show). She is a highly awarded creative herself, being a two-time Cannes Gold Lion and D&AD pencil winner.
Some of her more famous brand campaigns have been for ITC Foods’ Bingo! (she launched the brand), ITC Fabelle, Flying Machine, Titan, Hutch, Vodafone, State Bank of India, Gillette, Reliance Telecom, Dell, Fiat, Honda, Duracell, and the Indian Army.
As an entrepreneur, under the Tomorrow brand, Malvika handled brand strategy, design, and communication for clients like Hindustan Unilever Limited, NDTV, Arvind Group, Hotstar, Oyo Rooms, Ashiana Housing, Awfis Co-working Spaces, and Fractal Analytics Inc. among others.
Hailing from an army background, she had the good fortune of traversing the length and breadth of the country. She brings with her an intimate understanding of different cultural nuances and insights from the various geographies she has lived in, which has been an invaluable asset whilst building brands for her clients today.
Malvika currently works as an Independent Creative Director and Brand Specialist. Her last post was Chief Creative Officer at Dentsu India.
