'We F*cked Up' is a talk compiled by Ayaz Basrai, with an intent of encouraging people to stop and take a self-deprecating look at their own work.

Ayaz will talk about everything from making mistakes on some of his poster projects, to making it mandatory to make mistakes as a part of a developing brief.

Ayaz Basrai studied Industrial design at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, and after a short stint of working in Dubai moved back to Mumbai to set up The Busride Design Studio with his brother, an architect from CEPT / MIT.

Currently dabbling in a constellation of eclectic projects from Hospitality (like Bars, Clubs and Restaurants) to Installation Art, from Institutional Architecture to Heritage Conservation around his home in Bandra, from Illustration to 3D Printing projects, he juggles the many schizophrenic projects the city tosses up, in a desperate attempt to make sense of it all.

His studio’s work is guided more by chaos than by order, and this reflects in it’s wide and varied undertakings. From working on high-visibility commercial venues, the new installments of Blue Frog and Social, balanced with critical writing and theory initiatives, the studio’s work is a wide swinging pendulum.

Ayaz is also conducting a 'Visualise Water' workshop earlier in the day for designers and will display the installation at the talk.

This talk is resourceful for designers across all disciplines, artists, architects, decorators and enthusiasts. And for those in general, working at or trying to build their own design practices.
