AUNTYJI by Adeeb R
As said, "happiness cannot be found nor created, it’s from within."
The film follows a journey of two independent women as they carry on with their day to day life and the prejudices they face in Indian society. Parveen, 60 is a Parsi widow, while Geetika, 24 is a physically challenged girl who just begins her professional life as an intern in an advertising agency. Both of them bump into each other and end up passing on strengths, courage and, hope as they move ahead in their lives. A short film on the beauty and courage of following your heart, chasing your dreams and living your life, your way!
MAUN by Priyanka Singh
A couple are shocked and distraught to find out their daughter has been sexually molested by their neighbour and struggle to decide on a course of action.
SHUNYATA (The Void) by Chintan Sarda
Madhur works as a hitman for a gang in Mumbai. He lives a gloomy existence with regrets. He is friendly with a kid who lives on the street. Madhur sees this kid getting into crime and decides to intervene to give the kid a chance he never had.
THE SCHOOL BAG by Dheeraj Jindal
The bond between a mother and her son is indeed a special one. It was the same between Farooq and his Ammi. They reside in the small town of Peshawar, Pakistan. Farooq, a child with a simple demand, wants a new school bag on his birthday. But his mother, who in spite of her love and affection seems to be unfazed by her child's plea. Unknown to Farooq, there is something waiting for him on his birthday.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with the filmmakers, which will be moderated by Raghav Aggarwal - a graduate of the 2-Year Acting Conservatory Program at William Esper Studio, New York City, and the founder of Actor’s Craft.
