About the talk:
Bhavna Menon who is the Programme Manager at Last Wilderness Foundation will be taking the audience through, India’s wildlife, its forests and the plight of its tribal populations, to increase awareness about them. She will also touch upon the challenges faced to conserve our natural heritage and issues involved in the sustainable development of the tribal settlements in the peripheries of forests.
About LWF
Last Wilderness Foundation (LWF) is a wildlife conservation NGO founded in 2009. The organisation, in association with Madhya Pradesh Forest Department, works with the local communities living around protected areas. The main crux of the work is mitigation of Human- Wildlife conflict via alternative livelihoods, education, and conservation outreach programmes.
