Design Fabric introduces ‘WIP Sessions’ - a monthly event, where Designers and Artists will talk about their unfinished, latest and upcoming projects.

For the second edition of the WIP Sessions, we are inviting design studio Animal, visual artist Avinash Kumar, photographer Prarthna Singh and artist Sajid Wajid Shaikh.

Animal is a graphic design studio based in Delhi, led and founded by Kunel Gaur. The firm is born out of the desire to work across genres in visual art and graphic design, be it self-initiated design projects like Indianama to working on some of the coolest brands in India like Adidas, Lakme Fashion Week, Google etc.

Avinash is a design strategist, researcher, artist-performer, and co-founder of three of India’s well-known creative endeavours - Quicksand, an innovation and strategic consulting firm, BLOT! , the country’s premiere audiovisual collective, and UnBox Festival, an interdisciplinary arts platform. With an undying thirst for building entrepreneurial projects, Avinash is also one of the key minds behind EyeMyth and Antariksh Sanchar.

Prarthna's work is concerned with India’s transitional nature; that of contrast, fragility and abundance. Her images have a recognisable language, revealing the human condition and capturing design through minimal intervention. Singh's works have appeared in the The Wall Street Journal, The Sunday Guardian, Wallpaper City Guide, Vogue India, ELLE, Architectural Digest and CNN. She was recently commissioned for her first book, Sār: The Essence Of Indian Design published by Phaidon press.

Sajid is a self taught visual artist specialising in illustration and design. He uses a visual language of shape, form, colour and line to create compositions which may exist with a degree of independence from visual references in the world.
