Workshop : Virtual PlayLabSA / Stage se Screen tak with Mia Maelzar - Zoom

The Virtual PlayLabSA experience is uniquely designed to initiate performing artists of all backgrounds to an online space of preparation where they use the medium of theatre making languages for screen. Each participant interacts with the medium individually as well as in a group through a meticulously structured guidance founded on body and mind training in this contemporary time within virtual media. The concept of PlayLabSA is derived from spontaneous exploration of different elements of emotions and nature expressed through body and words based on milieu method to address all diversified roles. The performers’ memories, imagination, reflection, are put into use as source of active and passive expression to bring forth the skills of acting.  

About the facilitator:

Mia Maelzer is an international stage and film actor whose work is showcasing at The Criterion Collection. The NSD alma is best known for the TIFF18 award-winning film "THE FIELD". The national scholarship winner has worked with Academy Award-winning director Majid Majidi before she debuted as lead actress for an art film that premiered in France.
