The presentation of the play is a contemporary approach to the original Yahudi-Ki-Ladki written by Late Agha Hashra Kashmiri.
The original story depicts the conflict between love and society. This age old struggle is still as green, as raw and as poisonous today as it was then. Even through the changes in our civilization, wherein we have grown, developed and expanded in our technologies, the mentality of a part of our society remains unchangeable and inhuman.
Love is ever not permitted as an individual choice of adult man and woman but are governed by rules laid down by society. Killing of couple in the name of family honour or disowning them to maintain their pride make them believe they are acting as true custodian of Indian Tradition & Values.
Written by Agha Hashra Kashmiri and directed by Sajida.
