Unheard of YouTube views, peppering Beatport’s Top 10, building a rep as a remixer to the stars and delivering stamina-soaked sets from the White Island to Governor’s Island...Thomas Gold has fast become clubbing’s G-force of nature. Since storming onto the scene and riding the crest of dance music’s re-taking over of the planet, the prolifically pedigreed German has emerged as a top shelf seizer of arenas, talked about the world over. As a spinner with the most well-thumbed of passports, Gold’s upgrading from studio to stage stimulator, including the use of live drum lines and brass sections, has dominated the essentials of must-attend dance parties: the Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, Coachella, Mysteryland and Tomorrowland. After setting standards with releases on Armada, Toolroom, Spinnin’, and Steve Angello’s Size, Gold’s consistent hitting of dancefloor jackpots had Miami anthem ‘Sing2Me’, released on Axwell’s Axtone imprint, trilling its way to Beatport’s number one spot and becoming a cornerstone of Gold’s Essential Mix. Turning Adele’s ‘Set Fire to the Rain’ into a YouTube record breaker (like his number of Facebook followers, Gold has set counters to crazy), it stood as the jewel in a remix crown of popstars and peers.
DJ Alvaro
DJ and producer Alvaro has been making his mark in the EDM scene for over 7 years by now. Alvaro, also known as Jasper Helderman (1987), grew up in the Netherlands. Discovering his passion for DJ’ing while filming on festivals, he quickly went from editing aftermovies to producing tracks. With most of his time spend in the studio, it didn’t take long before his dazzling career took off. Dedication burns strong as the music flows, so it isn’t surprising Alvaro has a lot of killer productions on his name. Releases as 'Welcome to the Jungle' on Hardwell's Revealed Recordings, 'The Underground' on Spinnin' Records and more recent 'Guest List' on Tiësto's label Musical Freedom, all ended up in the top 5 of the Beatport top 100. His unique style and characteristic sound makes his fan-base grow day by day. But not only the fans love his music, as he has gained both the attention and respect from the music industry. Tiësto, David Guetta, Afrojack, Martin Garrix, Hardwell, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Nicky Romero, Zedd, Lil Jon and Diplo – you name them. All are eager to play his tracks and support the Alvaro sound. Thanks to this sound, Alvaro has been performing all over the globe. He has hyped up crowds in the best venues and on key festivals in Asia, North America and all major European cities. To name a few; Tomorrowland, EDC Las Vegas, EDC New York and Ultra Music Festival are just some of the many highlights. This year he will perform on even bigger stages, as the Alvaro-sound is growing more and more. So keep your eye on his agenda to make sure you catch him on one of the exhilarating festivals or thrilling club-nights.
KC Jones
Reza Tuharea, better known as KC Jones, was infected with the musical virus at a young age. He developed to be a very versatile artist, whose also a vocalist, singer and songwriter, next to being a very successful MC. Already at a young age, inspired by his father, KC Jones started with training his vocals and developing his skills. He more and more started to evolve his own sound as a vocalist and a singer. As he grew older he came across some Masters of Ceremony, and felt this was the right way to go. All his skills as a vocalist and a singer fell together; setting the stage for KC Jones to become the MC he is today. Nowadays KC Jones has transformed into a true MC, always infallible with his timing. He has the skill to know when to hype up the crowd, but also the impeccable understanding that sometimes it’s better to say nothing. Nothing says it better than this quote by MC Creed: “You can teach lyrics and catchy phrases. But the difficulty in finding the balance is knowing when to shut up and let the music do the talking.” Big names in the scene, such as Alvaro, Punish, Gregor Salto, Franky Rizardo and Bakermat, picked up his talent. Soon enough KC Jones was MC’ing at many different stages. In January 2014 KC Jones and Alvaro decided to join forces. They teamed up as an act and went straight to the top ever since. Rocking stages all over the world, this team is surely heading for the stars!
