About Abstract Expressionism:

The first ever Abstract Expressionist work of art was created as far back as 1920 by Wassily Kandinsky, but it achieved its true blooming “art movement” status after World War II, through the 1940’s in America. It was the first ever American art movement to gain international recognition, putting New York at the centre of the western art world. Abstract Expressionism is a style of abstract painting which employs the use of colours and textures, instead of recognisable objects, putting emphasis on the expression of inner emotions, wisdom, and true artistic focus.

Founded by a self-taught Artist Snehal Patil, Bombay Drawing room is an initiative that fosters fun and non-judgmental environment that is created by the vision to encourage creative expression in everyday settings.
