About The Neemrana Music Foundation
Based out of New Delhi, The Neemrana Music Foundation is a non-profit organization promoting Western Classical music. Late Francis Wacziarg, as the founder of The Neemrana Music Foundation, was working to put India on the world map of Western classical music. The Foundation has, over the last fifteen years, successfully trained students through a number of music workshops and has produced many operas annually to packed theatres not only in Delhi, Mumbai but also in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
In light of its mission to teach Western classical music, the Foundation has created several vocal groups and choirs including among underprivileged children. Every year it offers scholarships to young Indian talents to enable them to study abroad.
The Neemrana Music Foundation works along two axis. Because the educational framework of Western music is still not fully developed in India, the Foundation holds activities aimed at training young artists. It also develops projects to bring education through music in underprivileged areas. This has enabled the Foundation to produce operas annually and numerous concerts all over India, successfully to packed theatres.
