About the Author

Ankur Warikoo had very humble beginnings. In 2002, he earned himself a full scholarship, at a top US university for a PhD. program in Physics. He dropped out of the program at 24, and came back to the country with no idea where or what he would do next.
Based on a well-wisher’s advice he attended an MBA program at the ISB (Indian School of Business) where he was awarded the Young Leader Award.

Ankur Warikoo spent 3 years as a Management Consultant in Delhi, Dubai and New York immediately after. In 2008 he co-founded his first startup - Accentium Web that ran websites such as Gaadi.com, Secondshaadi.com amongst others. He went to launch Rocket Internet’s India business and was part of the founding team of Jabong.com.

Continuing his entrepreneurial streak, Ankur Warikoo founded nearbuy.com, India’s No.1 Lifestyle App. He was its CEO from its inception in 2015 until 2019.
Prior to that, Ankur was the founding CEO of Groupon’s India business, and later went on to hold more senior positions in the company.

In 2021, Warikoo authored and released his first book “DO EPIC SHIT” that hit #1 in India on the Nielsen bestsellers list.
