For the kids to reclaim their imagination and their love for arts, we have lined up a variety of art forms for the kids to explore this summer. Each art form has its own unique story and application that the training artists specialize in and will be sharing. And whats a camp without some fun! Nothing really :) The Circular Square camp includes the fun ingredient in abundance, be it the games, music, books that kids are surrounded with, or their own lemonade DIY counter :)

Art camp includes:

Day 1: Soft pastel landscape - Nature exhibits unique colours everyday, and during this session we will take up the challenge to match those colours using soft pastels and its vivid hues

Day 2: Creative typography - Convey more with less using combination of letters, visuals, symbols, to communicate an idea and making designs more significant.

Day 3: Watercolour floral illustrations - Delicate brushwork with this translucent medium opens doors to some magical depictions and desired effects for flower illustrations

Day 4: Wall poster design - The activity involves learning the art of lettering and typography, layouts, and some basic principles of Design, to get you started on creating handpainted posters for your room.

Day 5: Watercolour food illustration - Use the lively hues of watercolours to create appetizing illustrations of food and beverages.

Day 6: Pencil shading cityscape - Understand the concepts of space and perspective along with some basic shading techniques.

Day 7: Soft pastel nature study - Take a closer look at the leaves, flowers, butterflies, and the vivid colours of nature. Use the bright colors and soft powdery texture of soft pastel to bring them on paper

Day 8: Black and white / monochrome art - Understand positive and negative space, and work on a creative composition done entirely in black and white.

Day 9: Poster colour illustration - Focus on precision, mixing and applications as you undertake painting with flat poster colours in this session.

Day 10: Portrait drawing - In this session we will be looking at some of the best portrait paintings to observe the use of techniques to convey features, expressions and persona, and make a portrait with pencil shading technique

Day 11: Colour wheel mandala - Create mandala and geometric patterns to understand Color mixing basics. 

Day 12: Recreating Indian miniature paintings - In this session we will look at the traditional miniature paintings from different regions of India, and attempt to recreate them with watercolours and colour pencils while getting introduced to Indian art history

Day 13: Collage Art - Have fun in this creative activity of making a collage, sorting shapes and colours

Day 14: Recreating famous paintings of the world - Introduction to Art History by taking a closer look at the most popular, highly valued paintings of the world, and recreating them with our medium of choice. Feel free to add our own twist to it. 

Day 15: Drawing a crowded place - Learn the basics of human anatomy and also draw from memory and imagination to create our own composition with people and places

Camp timings: 4-22 April (weekdays only) 2-4 pm

Age category: 8 to 14 years

Kids to carry watercolour set, poster colour set, brushes (assorted round and flat, 00 to 10), water container, cloth/tissues, palette, compass, ruler, sketchbook, technical pen (pen-pencil), black fineliner/gel pen, color pencils (optional). Each day may involve different material and kids will use as apt from above mentioned list. Soft pastels will be provided for the camp.

Please note that this camp offers the option to signup for all-15-days, any-10-days, any-5-days or even for a single day. Please choose ticket type as suitable to you. The Circular Square will reach out to registered participants to understand the dates, for those with any-5-days/any-10-days/single day tickets.
