About the Event
The very name conjures up the grasslands of the mighty Serengeti, prides of lions, Mt Kilimanjaro, a dazzling blue ocean and of course powerful tribes like the Masai who legend has it, can fight lions with their bare hands!
What’s more the oldest evidence of hominids and of man as we know ourselves is found in Tanzania - truly an incomparable land. Let’s go there!
This session will comprise loads of stories that traverse the land, its topography and life and of course its magnificent art which we will all make together!
The session focus is on Tinga Tinga - The art of painting in the style of Edward Saidi Tingatinga, a Tanzanian artist who painted on many kinds of surfaces using his famed dot motif style. He rendered the beautiful landscape of Africa and its animals in this inimitable style.
Once your art work is completed do mail us a picture and we can provide feedback on it
