Visit Arthshila Santiniketan for a walkthrough of the exhibition on view on 23rd & 24th September. It is in collaboration with Lucknow Bioscope. Husn-e-karigari-e-Awadh is a celebration of art, craft and skills. The central objective of this exhibition is to recognize skills of all kinds and to understand what goes into its learning, practice, innovation and finally its mastery.

Through commissioned pieces of crafts, samples collected from the personal archives of ever-so-gracious Lucknow wallahs and extensive photo documentation of each craftsperson, this exhibition is a study of the past, present and future of the craft of this extremely rich state. It's only when craft becomes a choice in everyday life that there will be a change in the economies surrounding it, be it the handmade sil batta in your kitchen or the qalayi on your old bartans.

Husn-e-karigari-e-Awadh pays tribute to our artists, artisans and myriad workers who continue to keep these skills alive. Their products beautify our homes, enrich our food, adorn our bodies and keep alive those traditions from the past that give a distinct flavour to the culture of Lucknow.
