Bohri Thaal is the age-old way of dining in the Bohra community where the entire family sits down around one big steel thaal (plate) and eats together. It begins with a pinch of salt (palate cleanser) followed by alternating courses of mithaas (sweet) and kharaas (savoury). Once done with these courses, the main course makes its grand entry on the thaal for people to dig in and relish. The thaal ends with a pinch of salt as well.
