In association with blueFROG, the famed live music venue that has now entered new waters with pop-ups and curation, High Street Phoenix brings to you the 10 year old renowned music band, Delhi 2 Dublin. The band is known for infusing electronic music between bhangra beats and Celtic fiddle which has now grown into anything from dub reggae to breakbeats to just straight up happy dance music. Delhi2 Dublin will be featured in a music video by ‘Sound of Society’ in association with blueFROG & Urban Beat Project that showcases cross-cultural collaborations, where musicians from across the globe come together within a limited time frame to work on a song. The band comprises of Tarun Nayar (tabla, electronics), Sanjay Seran (vocal), Ravi Binning (dhol, dholak), Serena Eades (violin), James Hussain (guitar), and Jaron Freeman-Fox (violin, guitar). They recently launched their new album, ‘We are all Desi Remixed’ which is already making waves across countries.

The 2002 Channel V Popstar, Vasuda Sharma who has grown immensely as an artist is now leading a newly formed one woman band “Sharma & The Besharams” will also perform live at AWESTRUNG this month. Trained in Indian classical music at a very young age, she has recently launched her new solo live act called “Miss V” in which she plans to showcase the electronic production side of her musicality. The music can be described as Electronic Music with influences from disco, house, funk, soul and pop music. The same is performed live using electronic controllers, instruments, live vocals and loops. She is extremely excited to collaborate with her fellow band member Chaitanya who will be adding a layer of funky electric guitar riffs and licks to her eclectic sound at AWESTRUNG. Chaitanya Bhaidkar is a Guitarist/Music Producer/Multi-String Instrumentalist from Mumbai who started playing Guitar since the age of 14 and then eventually picked up instruments like the banjo, mandolin and ukulele. He is a founding member of the Awadhi Progressive Rock band "Daira" and currently has been performing with Sharma and The Besharams and Ash King.

Kickstarting this month’s Awestrung will be the 24 year old Shivai who excels in beatboxing and looping. He will also showcase his skills in sampling, live guitars, synth effects and vocal effects!
