Monks on Wheels in collaboration with KSTDC (Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation) presents to you Badami Rock Climbing, Rappelling & Relic Tour, a 2-day experience of the ancient history of the rocks in Badami along with adventures of rock climbing and rappelling in these historic rock mountains.

Badami is truly famous for its Cave Temples that date back to the 6th and 7th centuries. Badami is acknowledged for being the ancient kingdom of Chalukyas. The sect constructed numerous temples and monuments, marking the instigation of the Hindu architectural style. Badami Cave Temples, Aihole and Pattadakal is the best example of Chalukyan style of architecture. There is also an adventure to Badami where professionals from all over the world come for rock climbing and rappelling sports here.

Itinerary of the Trip:

Day 0 (Friday):

1) We say bye to Namma Bengaluru at around 10 PM.

(Please have a light dinner. We don’t want you to starve!)

2) Our experienced organizers will keep you engaged with fun ice breaker session, a great way to bond with your fellow travellers.

3) Next up? Good rest required for the adventure in waiting!

Day 1 (Saturday):

1) Reach Hotel KSTDC Mayura Chalukya Badami at Badami.

2) Freshen up and enjoy Breakfast at KSTDC Mayura Chalukya Badami (Unlimited).

3) Take a drive to the historical town of Pattadakal.

4) Visit different monuments at Pattadakal such as Mallikarjuna Temple, Sangameshwara Temple, Papanatha Temple, Virupaksha Temple, and Jain Temple.

5) Return back to the hotel and check-in to your rooms.

6) Have a sumptuous lunch and relax.

7) Visit the extraordinary Badami caves to witness the man-made marvel of fabulous rock-cut sculptures.

8)Descend down from the caves to the Lake of Badami and relax looking at an amazing view.

9) Return back to the hotel.

10) Freshen up for some tea and piping hot snacks.

11) Gather around for the campfire (if permitted)

12) Warm-up, indulge in activities, or dance the evening away, hosted by our fun experts.

13) Dig into a traditional dinner that is unlimited! (Veg & Non-veg)

14) Sleep like a baby overnight in twin sharing rooms.

Day 2 (Sunday):

1) Wake up to the sounds of nature to a steaming hot cup of coffee.

2) Time for some adrenaline rush with rock climbing at the huge beautiful boulders of Badami.

3) Enjoy your morning breakfast at the Hotel.

4) Return back to the rooms; freshen up and check-out at 11 AM.

5) Get set to step up your game in an adventurous and thrilling session of rappelling in the red sandstone mountains of Badami.

6) Have a sumptuous lunch (Unlimited on Menu).

7) Start the return journey to Bengaluru.

9) Reach Namma Bengaluru in the evening (around 11 PM) with memories of a lifetime!

1. Rock Climbing and Rappelling activities will be carried out under the supervision of trained professionals. We request everyone not to try any activity without the consent of the instructors.

Important Information:

1) You have the option to make your own transportation arrangements (car/bike/public transport) to join the event for which per person price for Non AC room: Rs. 5469/- (No hidden charges)

2) Partial payment of Rs. 3600/- can be made to book your slot. Remaining amount to be paid online/cash on the day of the trip

3) Monks on Wheels trek leads will have radio communication device as a part of safety measure

4) A Whatsapp group will be created 2-3 days before the event where all the necessary information like things to carry, pick up points, time etc will be provided

5) We need a minimum of 9 people to conduct the event or the event might be cancelled with full refund

6) Accommodation will be in Non-AC Premium room on twin sharing with attached bathroom.

7) In an extremely rare scenario, due to unforeseen incidents like natural calamities, roadblocks, etc., or restrictions by the government or forest department, the itinerary might be changed/modified depending on the situation.

There will be no refund for the unused services.

Refund and Cancellation Policy:

1. If the notice is received more than 20 days prior to the event, 100% of the event amount paid will be refunded.

2. If the notice is received up to 20 days prior to the event, 50% of the event amount paid shall be refunded.

3. All cancellation requests made 5 days prior or on the day of the event, no refund will be made.

4. No refund will be made for any type of cancellation if partial payment is done.
