About the Event

BandCamp Season 4 is ON!

Music Nights at BandCamp is our own little way of taking you out of the city hustle on a Saturday night and experience great live music in the middle of nature. There is a naturally sculpted amphitheatre at the campsite that serves as the perfect spot to lay back and count stars while listening to the bands play your favorite tunes. The music ranges from indie, blues, to rock and pop.

There will also be bonfires, a barbeque, long walks, and some great food! The campsite has huge grounds and we’ve added hammocks, books, and games to ensure that there is something for everyone.

A stone’s throw away from the city (clock says 60 mins!), BandCamp is located off Gorai beach. The layout is such that you can enjoy nature and have your privacy even though it’s a bustling campsite. Expect tents, sleeping bags and camping goodies, unwind in the main area or walk around the fishing village down to the sea anytime. Since Uttan is a coastal town (home to the Koli community), meals are freshly made by locals. Sundown brings with it a pre-gig BBQ and beer that sets the mood for the rest of the evening. BandCamp is best suited for groups, solo campers, families, corporates, couples and pets.Basically, everybody! You can even attend movie nights or weekend workshops on capoeira, photography, fitness, poetry and so on.

Saby is a musician from Kashmir. He currently performs as a singer songwriter using an acoustic guitar and his vocals. Saby is trained in Hindustani Shastriya Sangeet since the age of 10, and has been playing Ragas ever since. He accompanied his grand father, who is now a retired professional Raagi, on Tabla and the secondary harmony player. He started composing and writing in his early teens after a sud den encounter with The Beatles. He then spent a lot of time listening to whatever he could get his hands on. He considers his major asset in his musical career to be the sheer amount of time that he spend listening to music that he could find. He spent his teens in listening to blues, jazz, rock, alternate rock, grunge, classic rock, RnB, hip-hop and pop. He also wrote a lot of poetry in that time that he returns back to for lyrical ideas. He got his first guitar, which he lend from a friend, and learned and wrote his first songs on that guitar. He then bought his first guitar after a couple of years. He has been playing the guitar for over 3 years now. He is also a trained Tabla player, Harmonium player and a western classical Pianist. He can also play Harmonica, Flute and Drums. He is also trained in the Western Classical Music and is an avid listener of Liszt, Bach, Beethoven, etc. His genre Primary: Singer Songwriter, Pop, Acoustic Secondary: Alternate Rock, Blues, Progressive Rock, Trip Hop, Electronica

The Latecomers are a quartet from Mumbai who love messing around with jazz standards, pop tunes and everything in between. If nerves weren't enough, a snoozing alarm clock, a broken handle on the taxi, and a super excited puppy all connived to ensure that James, Ryan, Geet and Umang were late for their first ever audition. Ever since, they have been known as The Latecomers; a moniker that serves to remind them to never let it happen again. The Latecomers love a new take on old things, messing around with and reworking everything from good old jazz standards to cheesy pop tunes. For The Latecomers, no genre is off-limits and no idea is bad (unless, of course, said idea involves Geet taking a bass solo after every chorus). The Latecomers consist of a chef, a drummer, an engineer, and a lawyer.

Take a cab: A cab from anywhere in Bombay will typically cost you Rs.400 - Rs1000 and will get you right to our campsite. Best options- Uber, Ola, Meru. Drop Location – U Tan Sea Resort.
Train: Take a Train to Bhayander get out on the west Side and then a rickshaw [Rs.180] to U-Tan Sea Resort , Chowk , Uttan. Or stake a share rickshaw to Uttan Market [Rs.25 per seat ] and then another rickshaw to Utan Sea resort [Rs.10 Per seat] The campsite is right behind the resort *Cheapest option* or Take Bus No 1 .
By Sea : From Borivali take a ferry from Gorai Creek which will get you to Gorai Village. Hire a rickshaw directly to the resort or take a bus to Uttan and there after Bus No 1 to The resort.

Policy on drugs:No drugs are allowed at the campsite. If you are seen handling, consuming or under the influence of any illegal substances, we have the right to deny you entry and ask you to leave the premises. Any monies given to us will be forfeit.
Policy on alcohol: We will have our own bar serving alcohol at nominal rates. No outside alcohol is permitted at the campsite. Any such alcohol shall be confiscated at the campsite.
Insurance:It is advisable that the traveller acquires adequate insurance cover to secure his/her life, health and property whilst on a trip with us.Please note that any claim would have to be referred directly to the insurance company by you.
