Celebrate the spirit of All Fools' Day; 'tis the weekend to monkey around! Bira 91 April Fools’ Fest brings you a first-of-its-kind festival that encourages you to be a child again.
What to expect?
Watch out for two path-breaking, young & rising hip-hop stars
Headlining Day 2 is award-winning rapper and hip-hop artist from Mumbai, Divine (Gully Gang). He has been part of Nucleyaʼs album Bass Rani, opened for acts like Skrillex, performed internationally for the BBC Asian Network Live showcase and sung for filmmaker Anurag Kashyapʼs Mukkabaaz. Gully Boy, a forthcoming film by Zoya Akhtar staring Ranveer Singh & Alia Bhatt, is reportedly inspired by Divine & his Gully Gang.
Grammy-nominated Indian-American songwriter, rapper and recording artist from Claremont, California, Raja Kumari will headline Saturday's peformances. Raja Kumari has carved a niche for herself in the music industry by penning hits for pop’s biggest players like Iggy Azalea, Gwen Stefani and Fifth Harmony and collaborating with bigwigs like Timbaland, AR Rahman, Tricky Stewart and Fall Out Boy.
A musical melange featuring Indian & International artists
The Bira 91 Main Stage will play host to a lineup that includes the likes of Nucleya, India's very own Bass Raja, LushLife, an American rapper and record producer from Philadelphia, PrabhDeep, a 23-year-old rapper who has taken the Indian hip-hop scene by storm, DJ Ishani, the first lady of Indian Hip-Hop, MadStarBase, an international music collective representing USA, UK, India and Jamaica, DJ Uri, a product of the 80’s Breakdance, Hip Hop & Acid House era, DJ MoCity, a music entrepreneur with a passion for authentic music from all around the world and Anik Khan, a Bangladeshi-American rapper.

At the Comedy Arena, bump into the who's who of the Indian comedy scene. The arena will play host to actor, stand-up comedian and writer Sumukhi Suresh, film director and writer Anu Menon, India's favourite female stand-up comedian Neeti Palta, stand-up comedian, actress and writer Aditi Mittal, actor, musician, stand-up comedian and a part of the popular comic collective, Schitzengiggles Comedy, Aadar Malik, one of the founding members of East India Comedy, Sahil Shah and Atul Khatri, rated among the top Indian comedians by CNN-IBN, and was the only Indian to perform in the Hong Kong International Comedy Festival.

To add to the immersive experience of the festival, the Crow theatre collective will bring to the festival characters that will tempt the audience to do something unusual – true to the playful vibe of April Fools’ Day.

The F&B Zone will have a variety of cuisine, including Bira 91 ‘Hot Stuff’ - a specially curated spicy food menu. Look forward to your favourite pop-ups including Asian Haus,Eggjactly, Fat Lulu’s, Big Fat Sandwich, Keventer’s Shake and Imagine Juices. Head to the Bira 91 Cocktail Bar for some spectacular beer cocktails for the first time ever, created by award winning mixologists from Bar-Back Collective.
