Theater Play Hindi written and directed by Happy Ranajit.
After producing successful plays like Suraj ka Saatwan Ghada, A Straight Proposal and Apu Trilogy, Unicorn Actors Studio brings a new Hindi play “ Bloody Bombay”.
Life changes you or you change your life, is a question of our existence. Everyone knows Nawazuddin Siddiqui. He exists but Where he was? He was there in Mumbai. He is an inspiration for many. He is not just a name anymore. He is a metaphor an icon. But it took bloody 17 years. There are many actors those who can be the next Nawaz. Mumbai, the city of dreams is full of such actors those who didn’t get that one chance, who will get that one chance and those who are still waiting for that one chance commonly known as strugglers. But what is the actual journey? Lets experience their journey. A journey of human emotions, ethics and existence. Bloody Bombay is an amalgam of Stories of struggle, survival and success.
Happy Ranajit award winning theater director who has directed the play suraj ka satwan ghoda, apu triology, gang of girls , A straight proposal, Hamari Adhuri Kahani, currently working as show running director of zangoora at kingdom of dreams. his new Bollywood musical “ Love ka Overdose” will open at showsha theatre soon.
A graduate from the National School of Drama in 2001 with specialization in Acting, he has worked with various groups and repertories including the NSD Rep co. He has worked with various veteran directors and altogether he has acted in more than 120 plays. He has received the Sangeet Natak Akademi Bismillah Khan Yuva puraskar for Acting. He is presently working as a freelance Actor and has acted in plays, television and films. He is also a visiting faculty for Acting and Speech in NSD. Currently he is working at Kingdom of Dreams as an actor in the Bollywood musical “ Zangoora”
SUKHMANI LAMBA:
She recently did her debut in bollywood as the Sister of Alia Bhatt in the film “ Badrinath ki Dulhaniya”
In love with being on stage from a very young age, Sukhmani has been an actor and a dancer for over a decade now. She is trained in jazz, contemporary, Bollywood and ballroom dancing. After learning at "the Danceworx performing arts academy" from the age of 12, eventually teaching Jazz and being part of the repertory company from 2009 - 2011. Currently she is learning belly dance under Meher Malik at the Banjara school of belly dance.
Trained in acting under the guidance of Dilip Shankar acted in more than 20 stage plays. since 2011 she has been working at the Kingdom of dreams, playing the lead in both of the biggest Bollywood musicals of India - Zangoora and Jhumroo. She isalso known for her performances in the plays like Suraj Ka Saatwan Ghoda and Gang of Girls.
RACHIT BAHAL
He has been working as an actor in theatre for the past 10 years. he started his journey as an actor with act one group under N. K. Sharma, he has also worked with Faizal Alkazi, Sohila Kapur, and Avijit Dutt. Currently he plays the lead role the biggest bollywood musical “Zangoora” at the Kingdom of Dreams.
GAURI DEWAL
Gauri Dewal completed her graduation in theatricals from the University of pune and master’s in Dramatic arts with a specialization in acting from National School of Drama. She has acted in more than 70 plays so far. She has won the Maharashtra state award for Acting. Currently she is an actress of Unicorn Actors Studio’s Repertory company. She has acted in films like “No one Killed Jessica” and “What’s cooking Stella” also acted in TV serial “Shaurya aur Suhani” on Star Plus. Currently she is working at Kingdom of Dreams as an actor in the Bollywood musical “Zangoora” and had done more than 1000 shows of it.
Apart from acting she has a passion for children theatre, she has written and Directed several plays for children. She also works as a freelancer in Theatre in Education program run by NSD.
JUNAID KAIFI
Junaid is young talented theatre actor from Delhi. Who has already made his serious presence in more than 15 plays. Currently he is perusing his studies in Delhi University and also a member of unicorn actors’ studio repertory company. he is known for his performances in the plays like” A straight proposal” and “Kathputllian”
