Chakrata road trip would take you on a journey to the cantonment town situated in Dehradun, which compiles scenic view, important historical significance and a fresh vibe which you need to experience.

Chakrata was established by the Britishers as a spot to relax during their free time and came under the colonial rule of East India Company. Currently, it is a cantonment town with military bases and some region in Chakrata is off-limits as it’s not permitted by the government for visiting.

Chakrata is famous for being a popular hill station in Dehradun district which offers a wide variety of activities like trekking, skiing and mountain climbing. The place is also known as a wonderful camping destination where you can camp under the stargazing skylight.

There are various places to visit in Chakrata such as Tiger falls, Tiger caves, Chirmiri Peaks, Vyas Shikhar Mountain peak and much more. The Chakrata is filled with a wide variety of places that offers views that you only can imagine.

The best time to visit Chakrata is all round the year and different seasons have their own essence in Chakrata. The summer lasts from March to June while the monsoon season is from July to September and the Winters lasts from December to February. Choose which season suits you best according to the kind of experience you would want to enjoy.

Day 0 : Departure from Delhi

• Assemble at Akshardham Metro station by 8:30 PM. We depart for Chakrata by 9 PM. Our route will be via Meerut, Roorkee and Dehradun. Chakrata is around 340 km from Delhi and it takes around 10 hours to reach. We will be taking a few stops on the way for some refreshments.

Day 1 : Reach Chakrata and Sightseeing

• We will be reaching Chakrata by around 7 AM. After check-in and freshen up, we will visit Tiger Falls, which is one of the highest waterfalls in Uttarakhand. Later in the evening, we will visit Chiri Miri Top and enjoy the scenic sunset from there. Bonfire and Dinner at the campsite/hotel.

Day 2 : Activities and Departure for Delhi

• Wake up and enjoy the fresh morning in the mountains. After breakfast, enjoy the activities at the campsite and by afternoon, we will depart for Delhi. Reach Delhi by night. Trip Ends

Cancellation Policy

Booking amount is non-refundable.

No refund of total trip amount will be provided on cancellation, 10 days prior to departure date.

50% of total trip amount can be refunded on cancellation between 11-20 days prior to scheduled departure date.

90% of total trip amount can be refunded on cancellation between 21-90 days prior to scheduled departure date.

100% of total trip amount can be refunded on cancellation, 90+ days prior to scheduled departure date.

If due to any unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, landslides, road conditions and any other circumstances beyond our control. Act of God, we won't be able to refund the complete amount.
