Coffee Painting Workshop

What if we told you that the same decoction you use to make your early morning cup of coffee can also be used to paint beautiful artwork!

This children’s day, join us along with your kids to learn to paint using coffee in this super fun and simple workshop.

What will you learn in the workshop?

• Creating the paint using coffee
• Basics of coffee painting techniques such as shading and strokes
• Types of papers and brushes to use
• Painting an underwater seascape

Flow of the session:

• Introduction to coffee painting
• Understanding consistency - how to mix the paint
• Strokes and shades - easy techniques and shading with monochromatic paint
• Creation of the final painting

Materials that shall be provided: 

• A5 size card stock/ thick chart paper/ cartridge paper
• Coffee powder (1 cup)
• Round paintbrush (size 2)
• Flat paintbrush (size 4)
• A bowl for water
• Palette/plate
• Tissues/newspaper

About the artist:

Passionate about art from a very young age,Kavya went from being the art secretary at her school to winning the Women Achievers Award for India’s Best Women Professional Artist last year. She works in collaboration with different government and private organizations to host a plethora of art workshops to make art more accessible and to encourage artistic expression among individuals through her venture, Graphite Stories.
