Avid Learning presents Creative Kathak: Storytelling Through Dance, an interactive and participatory day-long workshop conducted by Kathak Dancer, Director, Amara Nritya Kala Hansa and Curator, Alchemy & WOW Gauri Sharma Tripathi who will delve into the fundamentals ofKathak and provide, through practical demonstrations, an understanding of storytelling through the form of dance.

In this workshop, beginners, novices and enthusiasts can learn fundamental footwork & movements, graceful posturing & articulation and storytelling through expression while acquainting themselves with the rich history of the illustrious Kathak Dance tradition and Gauri’s eminent family legacy within the discipline. Through this upcoming workshop, Gauri will provide a rare glimpse into this art form and highlight the use of dance as a medium to communicate feelings and experiences, increasecreativity and enrich our thinking. Participants can also look forward to immersive demonstrations and short activities by Gauri.
