A unique fun-filled creative writing workshop modelled on our six-level annual Creative Writing Programme– The English Escapades.

We also establish a strong connect with the disciplines of literature, philosophy and communication to enable development of creative ideas.

We focus on the various creative writing genres (essays, narratives, autobiographies, letters, persuasive and argumentative essays, etc.) from both, an academic as well as professional point of view.

Course Objectives - Juniors:

• Learning original writing techniques that let you express your artistic literary ideas and inherent creativity.
• Learning to construct interesting sentences - using adjectives and adverbs appropriately
• Building coherence in your writing
• Familiarising yourself to the imaginative writing genre and trying your hands at developing an imaginative recount.
• Learning to use guiding structures and outlines for different writing genres.
• Getting a vocabulary boost and understanding the use of right vocabulary in the right context.
• Falling in love with the art of writing.

Course Objectives - Seniors:

• Learning original writing techniques that let you express your artistic literary ideas and inherent creativity.
• Familiarising yourself to the basic elements of writing as well as character description, setting description and plot development.
• Learning to use guiding structures and outlines for different writing genres.
• Solving a crime mystery as a detective through analysis of witness statements - developing an eye for detail.
• Getting a vocabulary boost and understanding the use of right vocabulary in the right context.
• Falling in love with the art of writing.
