Structural equation modeling is a multivariate statistical analysis technique that is used to analyze structural relationships. This technique is the combination of factor analysis and multiple regression analysis, and it is used to analyze the structural relationship between measured variables and latent constructs. Structural Equation Modeling is a powerful multivariate analysis technique that includes specialized versions of a number of other analysis methods as special cases.

One of the most popular statistical software packages to do SEM is IBM SPSS AMOS (Analysis of Moments Structures) software that enables researchers to analyze the inter-relationships among constructs having multiple indicators in a model. Using AMOS graphic, the analysis is executed effectively, accurately, and efficiently. More importantly, the inter-relationships in a model are estimated simultaneously.

Objectives - With the growing importance of such techniques, this workshop is aimed at providing sound fundamental base to the concepts and practical training through the software to understand and develop the expertise on the tools. In this workshop, participants will be given comprehensive training on building and testing models by AMOS. Further, the participants will have hands on training of AMOS software

Expected Learning Outcomes

·        The workshop will expose participants with the application of Structural Equation Modeling or SEM, the Second Generation Statistical Method. SEM is widely used by researchers to analyze the inter-relationships among constructs in a model. Upon understanding the concept of SEM, the participants will enjoy the hands-on guides on how to execute SEM using AMOS software, and also how to interpret the results. This AMOS Workshop would enable participants to analyze their measurement model and structural model, as well as for the following analysis:

• Analyzing the correlational effects
• Analyzing the Mediating/Intervening effects
• Analyzing the Moderating effects
