Join us for this Diwali special Madhubani painting workshop where you will be creating your very own Diwali platter. 

What we’ll do:

Awareness: Get to know about the folk art, its significance, folk arts of India, commonalities in folk art across the world, how folk art speaks to you.

Appreciation: Get to know Madhubani as an art form. History, grammar, colours, motifs, special characteristics…get to know this folk art.

Application: Use your artistic creativity to create a Madhubani artwork. Translate it onto the product provided. Your art on your product!

About the product you will work on…the Diwali Platter:

A perfect Madhubani platter - to add tradition and class to any occasion. With all the major festivals right round the corner, let’s get together and make an auspicious beginning- an artistic one. 

This time we will make a lovely ‘platter’ - ready to use as soon as we’re done with our art session. Be especially proud as you serve mithai or chocolates or anything tasty on this lovely platter which you would have created yourself! 

Accessorise it with a few sunshine yellow marigold flowers and your offerings will look twice as nice!

The contemporary Madhubani artwork of ‘Diyas’ lights up your life and bring good fortune to you and family. The sun in the Diyas holds a special significance, especially at Diwali time. It represents Shri Ram who was from the Suryavanshi family. It stands for good beginnings, for victory of good over evil. 

This platter can double up as an auspicious Puja thali too. Place a diya, some ‘roli- chawal’, some marigold flowers and you have an exquisite thali like no other. May you sparkle as brightly as the Diyas you have drawn.
