DOHAR is an endless journey of music having strong connections with the root, on one hand and going beyond all boundaries, on the other. They energize its inhabitants with the melodious power of folk tunes, especially of greater Bengal as well as the North Eastern States of the Country. On 07th August 2024 DOHAR completed its 25years’ milestone and in that occasion curated yearlong programs to celebrate the journey. As a part of the celebration, DOHAR will present a special program at Rabindra Sadan on 15th September 2024 at 6.00pm. In that program, DOHAR will create an ambiance, to stage the art forms in their original surroundings to establish a connection among the different genres, and open a dialogue between Resourceful treasure of rustic dialects and tunes from Nadia to Sylhet and from Kamrup to Birbhum and the folk melodies of North Eastern part of India and sometimes will create a bridge with the urban soundscape. Many world-famous veteran musicians who contributed to DOHAR’s long musical journey will join Dohar with their musical assortment. In single word, full of music and more…..
