TARQ and The Pomegranate Workshop are delighted to announce a very unique workshop to tie in with their new exhibition, "An Unquiet Mind" by Youdhisthir Maharjan. The exhibition brings together a body of work that explores the material and visual aspects of a book, through a process of carving out and erasing words and alphabets from their original, embedded position in the text.

In this two-hour workshop, the participants will not only explore the works in the gallery through a guided tour, but also learn how to express themselves through a very unique writing style called 'Ekphrasis.' The participants will reflect on the artwork, its themes and visual references and turn their ideas into poetry compositions.

At the end of the workshop, the participants will share their poems with the group and get a chance for it to be featured on the Pomegranate and TARQ blogs.

About the Organizer

The Pomegranate Workshop provides a trigger to your creativity and then watches as you let yourselves go. They conduct various workshops for adults and children independently as well as programmes for schools and corporate houses. These workshops deal with various creative disciplines – art and craft, story writing, illustration, sculpture, performing arts, nature based sessions and sometimes a little bit of everything – in structured modules that layer multiple disciplines and focus on self expression and experiential learning in the participants.

About the Venue
