Akshardham means the “abode of the gods.”This temple complex of the Akshardham temple or the Swaminarayan Akshardham temple was inaugurated in the month of November in 2005. This temple acts as a tribute to the revered Bhagwan Swaminarayan. This temple houses various idols of many spiritual gurus that have made their mark in this world. The Akshardham Temple complex has been modelled in the traditional style that echoes the brilliance and technique of the art and architecture of bygone days.

What makes this temple unique in its own right is the spiritual premise that is followed here, which believes that each and every soul is divine. Whether an individual is engaged in worldly matters or spiritual pursuits, everyone’s prayer will be heard, is what the crux of the message in the temple propagates. The temple has an auspicious and spiritual aura about it. Our tour takes you through the temple premises and the wonderful gardens that it houses. You will find India’s largest step well known as the Yagnapurush Kundh. All that statues that you will see here have been specially handcrafted by various Indian artisans.
