Experience night trek to scenic Rajmachi. There are two trails to reach rajamachi, one is from Karjat where as the most typical famous trail is from Lonavala. We will start our trek from Lonavala in the evening hours where we could see numerous fireflies at many parts of the trail, after reaching rajmachi we can also stroll around to sight more after lunch and on day 2 during descend towards Karjat we will be visiting one of the beautiful ancient Buddhist caves.
Grade: Moderate, Total Trek Distance: 20 k.m. approx.
Assemble at Lonavala Railway Station - 05:00 PM (Refer how to reach the Venue)
Move to Tungarli dam by hired vehicle - 30 min.
Event Briefing - 15 min.
Hike from Tungalri to Udhewadi (Rajmachi) - approx 4 - 5 hour.
Dinner at Rajmachi Village.
Night stay in in homestay on sharing basis. (refer things to bring)
Hangout with stories.
Bed time
Day 2:
Morning alarm and Freshup - 6. a.m
Fresh up and Breakfast at Rajmachi
Start descending towards Kondhane village - 8.00 am
Visit Kondana caves on the way to base village.
Lunch break at base village - 1 hour.
Base village to Karjat Railway station by hired vehicle - 1 hour
How to Reach the Venue:
From Mumbai:
By train - 02:00 pm 11041 CHENNAI EXPRESS from Mumbai CSTM to lonavala
By Train - 02:30 pm 11009 SINHAGAD EXPRESS from Mumbai CSTM to Lonavala.
By road - Reach Lonavala Railway station ticket counter by 4:30 p.m.
From Pune:
By train - 03:00 pm Pune to Lonavala local train.
By road - Reach Lonavala Railway station ticket counter by 4:30 p.m.
If we incur extra expenses it will be shared accordingly.
Comfortable quickdry clothes (avoid tights, casuals, trousers).
Minimum 3 liters of water.
Dry fruits, ready to eat food like tepla, chocolates, snacks, fluids (e.g. Electral powder, Glucon D, etc.)
Bedding that includes Sleeping bag or blanket (mandatory).
Raincoat or Poncho
Cap/ Hat/mosquito repellent.
torch with extra pair of battery
toiletry kit, tissue roll.
Spare set of clothes, towel.
Strictly no littering, carry extra bag for non biodegradable (plastic) wastage.
