After the smashing success of a ‘Taste of Madurai’, team Sarvaa & Appalam return with another exciting pop-up featuring the very best of Chettinad cuisine!
This culinary extravaganza, spearheaded by publicist and home chef Saroja Shankaran and travel and food writer Insia Lacewalla, promises to immerse diners in the rich heritage and bold flavors of the Chettinad region.
Appalam stands as a tribute to the essence of traditional Tamil cuisine, drawing inspiration from the myriad regions of Tamil Nadu. Each pop-up event curated by Appalam celebrates the authenticity of indigenous, home-cooked recipes passed down through generations in Tamil Nadu's households, ranging from the robust flavors of Chettinad to the subtle nuances of Coimbatore and the fusion fare of Pondicherry.
The pop-up event will take place at Sarvaa, a culinary haven renowned for its exquisite blend of local traditions in coastal cuisine. With a menu curated to reflect the vibrant coastal cuisines of India, Sarvaa promises to transport diners on a tantalizing journey along the Indian coastlines, offering modern interpretations of regional classics rooted in centuries-old culinary traditions.
