Watashi:

With a penchant towards creating dark soundscapes and influences varying from punk-rock, and metal to the UK underground, Watashi is treading the grey area between drumnbass, techno and breaks. Purveyor of dark atmospheres and rattling breaks, his sets are not bound by genre limitations and emphasise deeply the importance of storytelling. His music has been released on international labels like XCPT from Italy and Hyperactivity from France, and also Indian labels Regenerate Music and Krunk Kulture.

Fresh off his debut album “Euthanasia Coaster” released in February 2022 on Regenerate Music which garnered a lot of support both internationally and locally, a concept album in his signature style telling a melancholic story with a twist. He hosted a radio show residency “In Limbo” for more than a year at Boxout.FM which championed the dark industrial sounds on the airwaves. His music has been played at international radio stations like BBC Asian Network, Noods, Rinse.fm and included in sets on Trax Magazine.

Watashi will be playing a more noise/ambient-oriented set.

In the kaleidoscopic tapestry of modular synth-led adventures, Fragment of Light emerges not just as mere electronic producers, but as pioneers on the frontier of a revival influenced by Impressionist-era classical music and post-war German prog/electronic explorations. This duo transcends convention, crafting an auditory realm where craftsmanship meets artistic expression, creating a symphony of cosmic meanderings. Their soundscape is an alchemy of the new and the unexpectedly harmonious.

At the heart of Fragment of Light is their odyssey beyond simple songwriting into the depths of artistic metamorphosis. With a deft hand, they meld contrasting sounds into a unified opus.
