With winter fading away, you may be packing off your sweaters and woolens. Including those that don’t fit or you simply don’t wear anymore. Don't hoard these, instead share it with NGO Goonj to help them send woolens to millions of people in far-flung villages, well in time next winter.

For 2 decades now, GOONJ has been highlighting winters as an ignored preventable disaster. Goonj’s annual campaign Odha Do Zindagi urges everyone to contribute winter essentials and Sarees for people who have very little to brave through harsh winters. Your Giving could mean so much!

Meet the team:

Goonj an award-winning voluntary organisation, headed by Magsaysay award winner Anshu Gupta, works on poverty alleviation, rural development and disaster relief and rehab, using surplus of cities as a new resource and currency for development work in parts of 22 states.

Goonj works with the core philosophy that excess material lying unused in urban households could be channelized to rural needy areas and be used as a tool to carry out developmental activities. Materials that have been sitting in a corner of the cupboard could be shared with someone who needs it.
