HARIHAR FORT NIGHT TREK FROM MUMBAI

The Night-Trek to Harihar Fort or Harshagad is one such fort, nestled atop lush green hills of Sahyadri, these hills are also known as the Western Ghats. It is located 40 km from both Ghoti and Nashik City, 48 km from Igatpuri in the Nashik district of Maharashtra. Harihar fort actually is built on a triangular prism of rock. Harihar fort has a total of 200 steps, most of these steps are inclined at 80 degrees and are the most thrilling part of the trek. The last 200 feet of the hike is a nerve-racking climb, through those steep rock-cut stairs. The stairs are around 200 steps in total and are inclined at 80 degrees. The descent is particularly exhilarating as you have to climb down and at one point face a sheer 500 feet drop.

Detailed Itinerary - Harihar Fort - Night trek

Meeting Point: Kasara Local Train Station.

Three hours prior to the event date and time, we will be creating a WhatsApp group for coordination purposes. Exact GPS locations will be shared in the group along with the live location of the bus and coordinators details.

We'll meet you at Kasara ticket booking counter window no 3, on platform 4. We will start our journey in a Jeep from Kasara station at 12.20 am. Our next stop will be at Baba ka Dhaba for a washroom break within 15 minutes. i.e. around 12.45 am. You can freshen up over here.

People travelling from their own vehicle to base village need to reach at Baba Da Dhabha, Latifvadi by 12:30 am.

Plan for the Night

• Once the train reaches Kasara Local Train Station our team will be meeting all the participants and we will be heading towards Harihar from our pickup vehicles by 12:20 am.
• We will be waiting for a short Washroom break / tea break at Baba Da Dabha, People travelling from their own vehicle need to meet us here by 12:30 am.
• We will be reaching base village by 4:00 am. Once we reach we will be having breakfast.
• Post that we will be have a short safety and introduction round and start trekking by 5:00 am.
• We will reach the top around 07.00am, view the mesmerizing sunrise from Harihar Fort.
• Its time for Photography and exploring the fort, post sunrise we start descending.
• Have Lunch in base village and then start the journey back to Mumbai around 2.00 pm.
• Tentatively reach Mumbai around 7 pm

• Pickup and Drop from Kasara Local Train Station (if opted for)

Things to carry for Harihar Fort - Night Trek

1. Identity proof.
2. Torch - Compulsory
3. Good and reliable trekking shoes and extra pair of floaters.
4. Water (minimum 2 Ltrs) Compulsory.
5. Torch with extra batteries - do not depend on the phone.
6. Keep your phone fully charged.
7. Mosquito repellent (optional)
8. Some ready-to-eat food like biscuits, plum cake, etc to keep your tummy happy.
9. Medicines (if you need any), Glucon D / Electrol / Enerzyl Powder (We will have a basic first aid kit with us).
10. A haversack to put all your things. Your hands need to be free while trekking.
11. And most imp thing, carry lot of enthusiasm and team spirit.

You should not carry:

• Jholas/sling bag.
• Do not wear sandals, floater, chappal, or ballerinas.
• Please avoid wearing Jewelry.
• Alcohol or any narcotic substance.
