About the Event

HarmoNoNium is a group of Musicians regardless of any Particular genre, No

Nium (नियम) No Rules. Mostly Lyrics driven, reflects peaceful and Spoken word music without any boundaries of a particular genre where Folk meets Bhajan meets Reggae, Ghazal, Pop, Indian Classical & more. Some are influenced by the Poems of Saints like Sant Meera, Sant Kabir, Sant Chokhaa, etc.

HarmoNoNium recites variety of stories in various genres of music. The unique

element of this band is the use of ‘Harmonium’ in varying styles of musical genres as a Lead instrument. HarmoNoNium is formed by Omkar, a Singer Songwriter from

Mumbai who now writes & composes along with Lalit who plays guitar & Tejal who

plays Bass.

Omkar is a Singer-Songwriter, Music Composer and VO artist from Mumbai. He Blends Indian Classical, Folk with Pop/Rock and other Western Contemporary Styles in his Singing with his wide range of vocals with natural husky texture experimenting melodious accent of thoughts which also reflects in his writing.
He usually loves to experiment his favorite instrument Harmonium in both Indian & Western Styles. He has also been working in Making Marathi Songs for Independent as well as Marathi film Music under the banner ‘Kaavyapur Sessions’.

Music arranger and Producer for music albums and Films, background score for Animation Films for Cartoon Network.
Bassist for various Bands of Celebrity artists - Keerthi Sagathia, Geet Sagar, Aishwarya Majumdar, Adarsh Shinde, Shraddha Pandit. Produced own Marathi music album, and he is a Music Composer too in collaboration under the name ‘Sameehan’.

Lalit is the Co-composer and Co-writer of this band. His Rajasthani voice adds a raw flavor to the songs. He has performed with Kasim Langa group, and Celebrity artists like Neeraj Pandit, Geet Sagar, Charu Mohan, Pt.Sandeep Mahavir and few others.

Karan defines versatility & mesmerizes audiences with his unconventional percussion playing. A Tabla player, a Drummer & a Multi-instrumentalist, Karan has performed with musical geniuses like Karsh Kale, Papon & Sounds of the Sufis to name a few, carving out a niche for himself not only nationally but also on the global stage. He has also spoken at TedX apart from which his unique style of immersing the audience while playing live has often been lauded by the media. With his passion for always creating something new, his musical experiments have garnered millions of fans on internet as well.

Akhil has been a Musician who learnt his harmony from the likes of Gianluca Libertore, Odysseas Tomazou, Aron Niro and more at the True School of music, keeping Bass as his main instrument. Combining his ideas odf western classical music along with the usage of jazz harmony in a funky way is his idea of composition. He also wishes to use the sound of an upright bass and experiment with it in a band set up. He has played in many festivals and clubs.

Harkat is an international boutique arts studio with a passion for film, new media, community art spaces and contemporary art. Based in Mumbai & Berlin, Harkat takes many forms and identities across disciplines & related creative industries. As an alternative performance & arts space, we have hosted more than 150 shows in the past year in the mediums of theatre, film, music, community projects & contemporary art. We support the new, unheard, upcoming, exciting, cutting edge, the political, the forgotten, nostalgic, melancholic, soul stirring, the beautiful & more. And that's what Harkat is. Harkat.
