Ajanta and Ellora caves, considered to be one of the finest examples of ancient rock-cut caves are located near Aurangabad in the state of Maharashtra, India. Adorned with beautiful sculptures, paintings and frescoes, Ajanta and Ellora caves are an amalgamation of Buddhist, Jain and Hindu monuments as the complex includes both Buddhist monasteries as well as Hindu and Jain temples. The Ajanta caves are 29 in number and were built in the period between the 2nd century BC and the 6th century AD whereas the Ellora Caves are more spread out and 34 in number and dates to the period between 6th and 11th Century AD.

Itinerary

Day 1: Friday

• 09:00 PM Meet Mumbai Weekenders Team at Dadar Station 
• 09:25 PM Catch train DEVAGIRI EXP(17057) for aurangabad 
• Train also stops at Thane (09:42 PM) , Kalyan (10.07 PM)
• Leave for Aurangabad & Spend overnight in Train

Day 2: Saturday 

• Arrival at Aurangabad around 04.00 am.
• Checkin to hotel and freshen up. 
• Complete breakfast around 08.00 AM. 
• Leave for Ajanta Caves(3 hours journey) and explore with a Govt. Registered Guide. 
• Have lunch at Ajanta Hotel near the caves.
• Comeback to hotel.
• Visit Bibi ka makbara (15 min journey).
• Come back to the hotel (15 min journey ) and relax. Post 8 pm play fun games and have dinner.

Day 3: Sunday

• Wake up at 06.00 am and freshen up.
• Have breakfast by 7:30 am and leave for Ellora (45min journey) for the mightiest excavation.
• Explore ellora caves with guide.
• Lunch at Ellora caves around 01.30 pm. 
• Leave for Daulatabad Fort (20 min journey ).
• Do a short yet easy hike till the top and view the entire Aurangabad city. 
• Leave for hotel (25 min journey) before 06.00 pm.
• Dinner around 07.00 pm.
• 09:35 PM - Catch train NANDIGRAM EXP(11402) for mumbai 

Day 4: Monday

• Reach Kalyan 04.16 AM
• Reach Thane 04.38 AM
• Reach Dadar 05.07 AM
• Reach CSMT 05.35 AM

• Littering is strictly not allowed on events. Do not leave empty plastic bottles, biscuit or chocolate wrappers behind. We must carry our own garbage/leftovers back to the city.

• Do not carry lots of cash, gold or any valuables. We are not responsible for the loss.

• On the event event leader’s decision will be final decision no argument will be entertained.

• Organizers of the event reserve any right to cancel the event due to unexpected weather ,lack of participants or any other reasons.
