Tabla Wizard Pandit Chatur Lal Memorial Society presents Jagruti - an interactive series with internationally renowned Odissi Guru Padma Shri Madhavi Mudgal. Join in with this master class cum mini concert with the Maestra herself.

In the session she will share an interesting learnings and introductory techniques of Odissi with an aim to expand the boundaries of the dancers. The key concepts of Indian classical dance, visualization of musical time (Taal and Laya) or literary text to create abstract designs or evoke the desired feeling, will be explored with, off course a mini concert.

An initiative by Pandit Chatur Lal Festival celebrating its 30 glorious years in promotion of Indian culture. Its curated & conceptualized by Shruti & Pranshu Chatur Lal dedicated to Tabla Wizard Pandit Chatur Lal.

About Guru Madhavi Mudgal

One of the leading classical dancers of India, Madhavi Mudgal is a highly renowned exponent of the Odissi style credited with bringing a greatly refined sensibility to her art form. She has received repeated acclaim in the major cities and dance festivals that have featured her throughout the world.

Apart from establishing a niche in the international dance scene as a soloist, she has received critical acclaim for her choreographic works.

Numerous awards and honours have come her way, including the President of India’s award of Padma Shri and the Central and Orissa Sangeet Natak Akademi Award and the Chevalier Award by the Government of France.
