JioSaavn SoundBound was started as an in-office concert property in 2015 under the name Live@Saavn. Through the years, it has played host to artists who have been instrumental in defining pop culture sound. In 2019, the property was reborn as 'SoundBound' growing beyond our office location into clubs and colleges. Going beyond the boundaries of language and genres, SoundBound is a commitment to celebrating artists whose music breaks the clutter, allowing them to create a space for themselves.

AHMER is a prolific rapper and producer from Srinagar, Kashmir. Since a young age, AHMER has been acutely aware of the violence that plagues that valley, and his lyrics reflect a self-critical and self-aware artist that is trying to make sense of one of the most complex issues of our time. By diving deep into his and his family’s history in the valley, AHMER manages to introduce to people to the complexities of the Kashmiri people and provides a more holistic view of their society.

RAKA is a music producer and DJ based out of Bangalore. 

In reality, he indelibly inhabits the crossover point where art merges with music.His sound is engineered with a heady mixture of heavy hitting drums and tight snares, garnished liberally with unconventional samplings and tied in together with generous amounts of bass.

In less than a three year period, he has performed at some of the top venues in Bangalore City, such as The Humming Tree, Blue Frog, Social, Foxtrot, and several other venues in the country, such as Bonobo Mumbai, Raasta New Delhi. He has played alongside stellar acts such as Daddy G of Massive Attack (UK), Epic Empire (France), EPROM (US), Herobust (US), Om Unit (UK), Kutmah (BER), Madame Gandhi (US), Moresounds (FR), Troyboi (UK), Radikal Guru (POL), Earl Gateshead (UK), Bondax (UK), Vilify (BER). Raka has even toured in Singapore along side Brodha V (IND). 

His 2017 release LURUBASS made in collaboration with the urban streetwear brand - Breakbounce as a part of their Street Sessions series, crossed 73,000+ plays in 2 weeks since it’s release. It also went on to feature as a background score for Danish Sait’s starrer Humble Politician Nograj. 

Raka also follows his passion for streetwear culture and collaborates with upcoming brands - such as headlining the Home Court Tour in Bangalore along side SickFlip in 2019 and Superkicks afterparty.  

His work has amassed over a million plays in total and has been featured by the media including coverage in The Wall Street Journal, VICE, Deccan Chronicle and many more. 

Featured multiple times in the world renowned LA based beat collective - Team Supreme’s beat cyphers has gotten him pushing his boundaries with his beats handpicked by producers like Penthouse Penthouse, Matzo and several others. 

Moving into personally recognizing Raka - he draws his inspiration from artists like Diplo, M.I.A, Timbaland, Just Blaze, Neptunes, Danja,  Swizz Beats, Mark Ronson, Ivy Lab, Branko, Buraka Som Sistema and many others. 

Versatile, experimental and truly indie, he believes in blurring the lines between genres to create music that is not only representative of his South Indian roots but has a global crossover appeal.
