Tour Overview

Your visit to the Kaas plateau combines a short trek through fields of flowers and bushes with a visit to the cooling waters of Thoseghar Waterfall. After the months of monsoon irrigate the Kaas plateau with rain water, a unique natural ecosystem develops with the plateau coming alive with blooming, wild flowers. You’ll get to see brightly coloured, rare species of flowers like the purple Karvi flowers, pink Balsam flowers and yellow Smithia and Sonki flowers among many more. You’ll also visit the Thoseghar Waterfall that cascades down the hills of Western Ghats from an elevation of 650 feet to form a calm and quiet pool at the bottom. This trek to Kaas Plateau is perfect for fit beginners as well as experienced trekkers since it only requires walking for only 1-2 hours.

Destination

Located inside the protected reserve of the Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary, the Kaas Plateau is easily accessible by a 1-hr drive from Satara. The plateau attracts thousands of nature lovers after every monsoon season. Declared a UNSECO world heritage site, the plateau is home to several rare and beautiful species of wild flowers. The Thoseghar Waterfall is a scenic spot located close to the plateau. Secluded from the throngs of tourists, this little paradise is hidden inside a heavily forested area in the hills of the Western Ghats.

Note:

Avoid carrying heavy weight for the trek.

Floaters and Sandals are not allowed, please wear sports shoes or trekking shoes of good quality.

Day Zero Saturday

09:00 PM: Report at Borivali national park

09:00 PM – 11:00 PM: Pickups from Malad, Goregaon, Andheri, Bandra, Sion, Chembur, Vashi, Nerul, Kharghar, Kalamboli.

Day One Sunday

05:00 AM: Reach Kaas Plateau.

06:30 AM: Breakfast & Let’s Introduces yourself with everyone and get ready for the walk in heaven of colourful flower.

07:00 AM: Start the tour of Kaas, explore flower species in the area, enjoy clicking pictures.

10:00 AM: walk towards Kaas Lake.

11:00 AM: Move Back towards Hotel & Have Freshly cook Maharashtra cuisine.

01:30 PM: Departure to Thoseghar Waterfall.

03:00 PM: Reach at Thoseghar Waterfall.

04:30 PM: Start our return journey towards Mumbai.

A good trekking shoes provide more grip and comfort on the trek & Extra pair of Socks.

Rainwear / Poncho / Waterproof jacket etc. if you don’t want to get wet

One Day Backpack 20 to 30 litres

Please wear Full sleeves and Full Track Pant this will protect from Thorns / Insects / Prickles

Double pack your valuables/phones in plastic bags.

Cancellation Policy: 50 % refund if notified via phone conversation 5 days prior to the event date.

No refund if the cancellation requested is less than 3 days.
