This Fort is situated to the east of Palghar, Maharashtra, India, in the Sahyadri mountain range of northern Konkan. Looking at the strategic location of the fort, it stands on the route from coast of Palghar to the city of Jawhar. One can say that it was built to keep watch on this ancient trade route and the surrounding region. Top of the fort has a big rectangular rock, Water cistern carved in the rocks. One can get a view of the Arabian Sea and the industrial town of Palghar to the west as well as view of the Surya River to the east and Tandulwadi Fort can be seen from top.
